Portable traffic signals are the perfect alternative to risking the lives of public safety personnel when traffic lights are down due to storms and other natural disasters. Portable traffic lights just make sense when you start adding up the cost of "man-hours" and safety risks of putting police officers in harms way just to direct traffic. Let our lights do the work while your officers due their duty.
Programmable traffic signal patterns in two modes.
These portable traffic signals are equipped to handle your traffic direction needs in any situation. There are two main modes of operation, uniform and "round robin".
The uniform pattern is a cross traffic sequence that provides the green aspect to opposing traffic. Assume the signal is placed in an intersection where the intersecting streets are North/South and East/West. With this pattern, traffic traveling North and South will both receive a green ball at the same time. The signal will change to yellow and then to red simultaneously for both Northbound and Southbound traffic. Then the green will signal for the East and Westbound traffic. The timing of each aspect can be programmed for unattended operation or can be controlled manually by remote control.
The "round-robin" pattern provides a green signal to one direction at a time. This is normally only used with the green arrows so that the direction with the arrow can also proceed straight across the controlled intersection. Again, the timing of each signal, for each direction, is controlled by programming the signal when it is erected or it can be controlled manually as well.
The programming is extremely simple. The individual setting up the signal simply activates the signal with the remote control key fob. Once activated, the signal is placed into program mode. At this point, the signal begins to remember the time and order of each aspect. Once all directions are programmed, the signal can be set to "replay" the program indefinitely. Set it and forget it.
Unit shown is in standard mode. "Round Robin" mode available also.
